Music Mogul Jamal Edwards who helped Ed Sheeran Rise To Fame Dies at 31

Jamal Edwards, a British entrepreneur, author, director, and disk jockey, has been announced dead.

The late 31-year old was the founder of the online urban music platform SB.TV, which propelled artists like Dave, Emeli Sande, Ed Sheeran, and Jessie J into the limelight.

Word from the grapevine have it that he was responsible for Grammy winning singer Ed Sheeran’s appearance on Nigerian afrobeats star Fireboy DML‘s smash tune ‘Peru‘, a song which has gone on to top several charts, including breaking into the billboard.

The cause of the death of the iconic music mogul is yet to be revealed.

Jamal Edwards was appointed an MBE for services to music at the age of 23 and was an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust, which helps young people set up their own businesses.
