iLoveMakonnen Summer ’22 album Zip download – American recording artist iLoveMakonnen has released his new album “Summer ’22.” Makonnen ran a blog interviewing recording artists, such as
Lil B and Soulja Boy in 2008. At the same time, he began his music career, influenced by his grandmother, who was an opera singer, by releasing tracks on MySpace. In Atlanta, Makonnen met producer Mike WiLL Made-It in 2012, who introduced him to local producers such as Metro Boomin and Sonny Digital.
After releasing his second EP, his song
“Club Goin’ Up on a Tuesday,” produced by Metro and Sonny Digital, gained Drake’s attention, who contacted Sonny Digital and jumped on a remix with the title renamed to “Tuesday.”
Makonnen signed to OVO Sound a few weeks later. On April 19, 2016, it was confirmed that he had been dropped from
the label before releasing an album under them. Makonnen was born on April 12, 1989, in South Los Angeles, California, and was named after Tafari Makonnen Woldemikael, the birth name of Haile Selassie I.
Makonnen’s father is a first generation immigrant from Belize who worked as an electrician and his mother was a nail instructor who worked in the beauty business for over 30 years.
In an interview, he described himself as mixed with African American, Indian, Irish, Belgian, German and Chinese heritage.
Growing up in Los Angeles, he moved to the Atlanta area when he was 13 years old, due to his parents’ divorce. There, he witnessed the death of a close friend in his senior year in high school. His grandmother was an opera singer, which influenced his musical career.
