Bassist Guy Berryman tells Apple Music that understanding what they’re attempting to create in the studio helps them be more focused in the studio.

“Orphans” from Everyday Life served as a test run for the band’s upcoming album, which they knew was going to be called Music of the Spheres and produced
by Swedish super-producer Max Martin (who is not related to frontman Chris Martin).
Because of his talent and the personality of everyone in the studio, everything came together perfectly, according to Berryman. “We had planned on playing in large stadiums,” says the band.
