2 Years After Release, BTS’ ‘Map of the World’ Album still Tops Billboard Charts

The Bangtan Boys, more popularly known as ‘BTS‘ are unarguably the biggest boy band in the world. Their seemingly larger than life career is further reinforced by the fact that they don’t seem to need a new album or single to top the Billboard charts.

BTS have returned to number 1 on two Billboard charts in the absence of a new release. The South Korean multi-talented group return to the number one position on the Billboard World Album charts with their album ‘Map Of The Soul: 7 ‘ for the 35th time, and the album has spent a total of 103 weeks on the charts.

This is not the only ranking album on the charts as the album ‘ BE‘ that was also released in 2020 holds the number 6 position increasing the number of weeks on the charts to 62 weeks. Their album ‘Love Yourself: Tear‘ makes a re-entry at number 8, increasing the number of weeks on the charts to 172, with ‘Love Yourself: Her ‘ following closely at number 9, increasing the total amount of weeks for this album to 150.

‘Map of the Soul: Persona ‘ also comes in at number 14, increasing the number of weeks on the charts to 137 weeks and the final album of the Love Yourself trilogy titled ‘Love Yourself: Answer ‘ also makes the chart at number 15, increasing the number of weeks on the charts to 172 weeks as well.

This is not the only chart BTS is dominating as they retained the Number 1 position on the Billboard Hot Trending songs Charts with their Grammy-nominated song, ‘Butter’, to set a new record as the artists with the most weeks spent at number one on the charts.
